Looking for a rare and sculptural cactus to elevate your collection? The Cereus Peruvianus Cristata is a true work of living art!
This unique crested form of the Cereus peruvianus is highly prized for its unusual wavy growth, forming fan-shaped, coral-like patterns. Each plant grows differently, ensuring you receive a one-of-a-kind specimen. Despite its exotic appearance, the Cereus peruvianus Cristata is easy to care for.
It thrives in bright sunlight, requires well-draining soil, and only needs occasional watering. Its architectural silhouette makes it a striking centerpiece for indoor pots, outdoor rock gardens, or succulent displays.
How To Care:
Light - Place flowering cacti in a south or west-facing window to provide the direct sunlight they require. On average, cacti need six to eight hours of full sunlight per day.
In winter, most flowering cacti need a rest period, called dormancy, to redirect energy from growth into bud production. Less sunlight is required during this time.
Soil - Cacti thrive best in a well-draining potting mix that prevents waterlogging and root rot. A good mix can be prepared using garden soil, sand, perlite, and pumice. For added aeration, you may also mix in small pieces of polystyrene (styrofoam). This ensures the roots get enough oxygen while excess water drains out quickly.
Water - Cacti require water to bloom, even if they are drought tolerant. Water your cactus when the soil has completely dried out. Water thoroughly until the water runs out the pot’s drain holes.
